Controller

The controller is the organisation that runs this installation.

What is processed

  • Account: name, email address, a hash of your password, interface language, time zone, granted permissions and account class.
  • Sessions: when a session was created, when it was last used and how long it lasts. No IP address and no user agent are stored.
  • Activity log: which action was taken, when, and by which account. Passwords, API keys and session tokens are never written to it.
  • Access requests and contact messages: the name, email address and message given on the form.
  • Content you create: projects, questions, audits, recommendations and the sites you measure.

Why

To give you an account, to keep it secure, and to run the measurements and reports you ask for. The data is not used for profiling, advertising or automated decision-making.

Legal basis

Performance of a contract for running the service, and legitimate interest for keeping the accounts secure — for example the login attempt and activity logs.

How long

  • Account data is kept for as long as the account exists, and is deleted when the account is deleted.
  • A session expires after 12 hours, or after 30 days if you chose to stay signed in. Email links expire in 15 minutes (sign-in) or 24 hours (activation).
  • The activity log and login attempt records are cleared on a schedule set by the administrator.

Who else sees it

No one. The data is not sold, shared or handed to advertising networks. It is processed on servers we run, and outgoing email goes through the email provider used for sign-in and notification messages.

When you run an AI measurement, the question you wrote is sent to the AI provider you enabled. Your account details are not.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form.

Some of this you can do yourself: change your name, language, time zone and password in Settings, and sign out other sessions there. For anything else, contact the controller.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies

One cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies in this tool, and the tool does not measure its own traffic.

Visitor measurement on measured sites

The visitor analytics this tool collects from the sites you measure is a separate matter, and it concerns those sites' visitors rather than you. It uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses.

If you are a visitor to a measured site and want to opt out, add #aivm-optout=1 to the address of any page on that site. The choice is stored in your own browser and can be undone with #aivm-optout=off.
